What are the priorities in Braunschweig's application phase?
To-date, the application is still a process rather than a concept worded in all its details. The application will grow, like a building site. Most importantly, it will render evidence of a process of frank and public discussion.
The "Brücke"
The heart of the application process is at the "Brücke", a institution established by the British Military Government in 1949 on Steintorwall to house the British City Commander's Office (now seat of the municipal Institute of Culture). The "Brücke" is the central place of information and discussion.
At the front door, an over-sized "Men at Work" sign reminds everybody that a live process, rather than a finished "product", is being dealt with - a process that is backed and promoted by all residents.

Events
The application process will be presented to the public via lectures, panel discussions, exhibitions and workshops.
