Places of Knowledge

This year projects connected to the title of "City of Science 2007" are being launched. As "Places of Knowledge" within the Kitchen of Ideas Braunschweig they build tangible bridges between science and the general public, business, culture and the City. They ensure that the good connections and networks endure and continue to grow.

House of Science

The House of Science (Haus der Wissenschaft), a lively meeting place centring on research, as well as knowledge and technology transfer, is currently being set up in the former building of the Kanthochschule.

Greenhouse

A large greenhouse (Gewächshaus) at Domplatz is making knowledge grow and is providing for active exchanges. Inside you will find a book exchange for scientific books and the Kitchen of Ideas Café (Ideenküchen-Café) invites you to stay and have a little something.

Educational Initiative "Place for Small Researchers"

More than 60 of Braunschweig's pre-school facilities have turned into "Places for Small Researchers" since the beginning of April, and the "City of Science 2007" is therefore one of the first cities in Germany to be sustainably supported by this educational initiative for three to six year olds.
